At Indivisible led townhall, Rep. Davidson tells mother her son hasn't earned healthcare despite full time job.

April 18, 2017

Indivisible groups in the northern part of our district organized a town hall where folks were actually allowed to ask questions and provide feedback. Our members showed up and asked a lot of tough questions. One question brought national attention to Rep. Davidson when he told a mother concerned about her son losing his healthcare that her son needs to change jobs to earn healthcare. This exposed Davidson's belief that folks in lower income jobs, like those in the service industry, do not deserve healthcare despite their ongoing hard work. In Davidson's America there will always be a lower class of people who can't afford healthcare.

District 8 Indivisible groups' members attended what they were told would be a town hall for our rep., Warren Davidson. It quickly became apparent that attendees were not allowed to provide feedback or ask questions. When a few folks were asked to leave for speaking out in protest many more walked out in solidarity.
